1.  Definition of Key Terms

* Detention refers to the charge raised against shipper or consignee for detaining container beyond the specified free time provided.
                
* Demurrage refers to the charge raised against shipper or consignee that is caused by container being stored at port or container yard beyond specified free time provided.
