Being attracted by OOCL's prestigious position as one of the world's largest integrated international container transportation and logistics companies and Hong Kong's most recognized global brands, I joined OOCL as Pricing Officer (Intra-Asia).  Throughout the past 17 years, I have gained exposure from working in 4 departments and 6 different roles.  I have obtained various experiences in frontline commercial, pricing, space control as well as yield management in 3 key trade functions including Intra-Asia, Transpacific, and Asia-Europe; and all these have helped me excel further in my career.

Apart from the deskbound work which is crucial in my development within the company, I also had the on-board experience on our vessel to acquire more technical knowledge.  I participated in the company’s International Executive Development Program (IEDP) to learn more about the company’s strategic direction, and to build my network with colleagues from our global offices.  Seeing how OOCL invests in its people gives me a strong sense of pride and sense of belonging.

I am pleased to be nominated to go on a 6-month job rotation in Belgium in 2015 to gain overseas work experience.  I look forward to this new challenge eagerly to further enrich my exposure and to meet overseas OOCL family members.
