           Intra Asia Trade – Port Congestion Surcharge (PCS)

 

Dear Customers,

Since Hong Kong terminal congestion began from first half of last year due to various reasons, the congestion issue has been proliferated to all other facilities in Kwai Chung and the persistence of congestion for more than one year. OOCL has been suffering from the significant cost derived from the congestion issue.  With effective from October 19,2014*, OOCL will implement the PCS at US$50 per TEU for both inbound/outbound shipment between Intra Asia countries **and Hong Kong or South China *** shipment transship via Hong Kong from barge/vessel or vessel/barge (exclude  vessel/vessel transshipment). The surcharge is collected for inbound shipment and prepaid for outbound shipment at or transship via Hong Kong.

**           Intra Asia Countries include Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, Korea, Japan, Taiwan and China.
***     South China' includes Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, Hainan & Yunnan Province
