SI Cutoff Adjustment for Cargo Import to Sri Lanka
Dear Valued Customer,
We would like to inform you that the Sri Lanka Customs implemented new manifest submission system from February 1, 2015.
Carriers are now required to submit the electronic manifests to Sri Lanka Customs for Imports and Transshipment cargoes not later than 3 working days before the arrival at the first port of call in Sri Lanka. In view of this, we would like to adjust the SI cut-off from every Wed 17:00 to every Tue 12:00 effective from below vessels and onwards.
OOCL respectfully requests our customers to provide an accurate and complete Shipping Instruction (SI) before SI cut off, failure of which may result in cargo clearance delays, extra demurrage cost and potential extra charges imposed by the authority.
