6 Digits Harmonized System (HS) Code
Requirement for Imports to Australia
Dear Valued Customer,
Please be advised that HS Code is part of mandatory information of the Import Customs Manifest submission for all cargoes entering at Australian Ports which to fulfill the manifest requirements of Port Corporations in Australia.
The mandatory 6-digit HS code must be submitted along with all shipping instructions, effective from January 1st 2017. In case of multiple commodities in your shipments, all HS codes for all the commodities need to be submitted.
Shipping Instructions received without or invalid HS 6 digits code will not be processed and will be requested to be resent with valid information.
