Verified Gross Mass (VGM) Submission Cut-Off
in Hong Kong & South China

Dear Valued Customer,

Reference is made to the International Maritime Organization (IMO) amendments to the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) convention indicating that all shipments must comply with mandatory container weight verification requirements, or Verified Gross Mass (VGM).  Any packed container for export missing the Verified Gross Mass (VGM) information will not be allowed to be loaded onboard the vessel with effective July 1, 2016.

The following Verified Gross Mass (VGM) cut-off time information for vessels departing Hong Kong and South China has been set-up for your easy reference. The VGM cut-off time is available in our sailing schedule at www.oocl.com and will also be displayed on our OOCL Booking Acknowledgement.

For your reference, we have worked out the first effective sailings departing Hong Kong and South China which require VGM information. Please refer to below for more details.
