1. Definition of Key Terms

Demurrage

There is no Rule for Outbound Demurrage in India. Based on Respective Trade Guidance we updated Rule & Tariff to cater system requirements.

Free time & Charge*
|
Charge shall be assessed in U.S. Dollars per container per calendar day including Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays beyond expiration of free time. Charges apply for Dry & Reefer Container.
Detention charge will apply from the day of Empty Pickup
|

Detention
|
Detention will be charged on US Dollar per container per Calendar Days including Weekend or Holidays beyond Free Time expiration.
For Local Cargo; Detention will start from the date of Discharge at the Terminal.
For Inland Cargo: Detention will start from the date of Cargo reaching the ICD (Inland Depot)
There is no Rule for Inbound Demurrage in India as the customer settles it directly with respective storage yard.

The removal of equipment from CY on Sunday, Local Holidays ought to be counted when computing Free Time as well.
