Delay In the movement of IB shipments from Major Gateway Ports to FND ICD Tuglakabad NDH01, due to low Exports from TKD leading to congestion and pendency of IMPORT in Pipavav & JNPT.
Export from TKD is decreased considerably due to which Racks cannot be made available in PPSP & JNPT movements of container; railways had also shifted the Powers to Public sector trains which are affecting the IB movements from PPSP & JNPT to FND.
Considerably the CONCOR is the only authorized rail operator (Govt. undertaken) who serves for ICD TKD NDH01 & Dadri NDH10 which leads to sufficient expansion of services.
In Addition to above Indian Railways Higher Officials decided to employ maximum Power to Coal Racks after acute shortage of coal in north Indian power plant.. Below is the update.
This is to inform that recently there has been acute shortage of electric power noticed in Northern India due to coal stock dry up in the power plants.
As clarified by Railway official that Govt. of India has directed Indian Railways to allot maximum Railway Engine to coal rakes destined for various power plants to overcome the situation.
Consequently, Container rail movement on various routes is adversely affected, causing delay for shipments in reaching destination.
All container train operators are also getting affected heavily by this movement, leading to stabling of trains at various locations enrooted due to shortage of locomotives.
If situation continues it may lead to a worse situation which required an immediate attention from all.
Note : TKD - Railout expected in 16 - 19 days from NHV.
