Dear Customer,

Please find the revised Bond’s related Process effective on 15-June-2014 for Imports Shipments.

This will bring in following advantages to the customer.

-          CHA  need not cancel the bonds for each shipment but only once in a year.

-          Saves time and cost for End customers  

Kindly find the below process in breif:

Ø  All BCHAA members will submit one annual bond per Cnee, where signature is Bank verified. (Refer attached format). One time per year.

Ø  A Blank cheque has to be submitted with no date but in favour of Orient Overseas Container Line Limited. One time per year.

Ø  Annexure 1 will be submitted by the Cnee on their letterhead declaring details of the CHA(Customs House Agent).

Ø  Annexure 1 will be submitted by the Cnee only when there is a Change/ Addition  in the CHA details.

Ø  Following documents have to be submitted shipment wise:

o   Annexure 2  on  CHA / CNEE Letter head.

o   Copy of Approved bond and Annexure 1 for verification only.

o   No Blank Security cheques (unless cargo is one mentioned below)

o   Security Deposit in form of Cheque for BCHAA member and Demand Draft for NON-BCHAA member  for below cargo.

§  Steel Coils and Rolls

§  Machinery , Machinery Parts

§  Metal scrap / Metal Ingots

§  Beta Napthol and Naptha Products.

§  Stones and Bitumen.

Quantum and Mode :

1.  Inr 30000/container  for Beta Naptha and Naptha Products.

2. Inr 20000 / container for other cargo mentioned above
3. CHA is responsible to take an acknolwegment of the DD on a photocopy at the time of DO.

                     4. CHA is responsible to collect the above security deposit from OOCL D/O
                        counterwithin 15 days of empty return.
