Refer to Letter from the Office of the Commissioner of Customs (Export),  JNCH, Nhava Sheva addressed  to  All CFS’s(Scanned copy appended for your reference).  have  given  clear  instructions  not  to  Hold/retain Triplicate  copy  of  Bills  of  Entry of any  importer as  surety for any other reason.

With immediate effect for all Dock delivery orders customers are requested to submit a demand draft of INR 10,000/- per BL along with D/o documents at counter & the same will be returned after 05 days & on confirmation from CFS that there is No Physical Damage.
