Dear Valued Customer,
Greetings.
As per an agreement signed between the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) and M/s DMICDC (Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corporation) Logistic Data Services Ltd., container tracking services will now be provided at the port.
A single window in the form of Logistics Data Bank (LDB) has been set up to facilitate tracking and viewing the movement of containers between ports, container freight stations (CFSs)/ Inland Container Depots (ICDs) via toll plazas and railway movement on an integrated basis.
This would essentially be through the sharing of container tracking information among various stakeholders in the supply chain.
The project will be commercially effective from 1st July 2016 whereby all import and export containers exiting and entering JNPT via road and rail will be RFID tagged and de-tagged before GATE/RAIL OUT and GATE/RAIL IN respectively.
With effect from 11th July 2016, MUC (Mandatory User Charges) as approved by TAMP @ INR125/- plus Service Tax as applicable per container for the above-said activity.
Every Fiscal Year, the MUC charges will be increased by INR10/-, this incremental increase in rate will remain applicable till 31st March 2019, unless specifically extended by the authority.
LDB (Logistic Data Bank ) aims at bringing in the much needed transparency and faster container tracking for all stakeholders involved.
