Road Limitation:

Weight limitation-          50 Tons

Over 50 tons – Multi axle trucks with prior approval to be obtained from local authority.

Terminal limitation:

Under Spreader - 65 Tons.

Under Hook                   - 80 Tons

Un-containerized cargo – need to obtain prior approval for handling and Tariff.

National Holidays:

During national holidays –  standard working hour.

0600-1400 HRS / 1400-2200 HRS/ 2200-0600HRS.

During Ramadan Period working hours:

0600-1300 HRS/ 1300-2100 HRS/2100-0600 HRS. [2^nd & 3^rd Shift 45 minutes break given for IFTAR & SOHUR break].

EID festival – no work from 0400 hours to 1000 hours.

IMDG CARGO:

Class 1 – accepted only on Direct delivery for import, provided consignee obtains all required approval in advance and keep truck on standby at terminal.

If direct delivery not taken, container will be retained on board.

Class – 7 not allowed / accepted.

IMCO Class: 8 UN NO: 2031 / Cargo: Nitric Acid - Accepted only on direct delivery. Consignee must obtain all required approval in advance & keep truck on standby.

If direct delivery not taken, container will be retained on board.

Transhipment:

IMCO class 1 and 7 not allowed.  

Custom Requirement:

Cargo manifest hard copy and EDI must be filed 48 hours before arrival of vessel. Late submission subject to penalty.

SECURITY TEAM ON-BOARD

Any vessel with security team, must obtain pre clearance from ministry of defense before entering Djibouti waters.
