Max Cargo weight which can be handled by
terminal is 40MT
3. Transshipment Restrictions
All restrictions valid for Umm Qasr discharge is valid
for Trans-shipment cargo as well except vehicles should be de-stuffed
exclusively inside the port.
4. Cargo Weight Limitations
Discharge equipment’s needs to be arranged by receiver
himself in case required equipment’s not available with IPA authority.
Cargo weight Limitations are : 20’ not more than 24 MT
and 40’ not more than 30MT

6. Dangerous Cargo Restrictions
Import class of 1 – 9 is allowed subject to direct
delivery.
IMCO stickers should be affixed on all four sides of
the cntr’s
USD 7.00 per ton fine by Iraq port authority apply in
case of noncompliance.
7.Transit Cargo Restrictions
- NIL , except vehicles should be de-stuffed
exclusively inside the port.

Customs Requirements

B/L , cargo manifest , commercial
invoice , packing list , certificate of origin endorsed from Iraqi embassy at
origin country and levy exemption incase cargo is duty exempted cargo.
• Declaration
issued by Central Organization for Standardization And Quality Control dated
20/06/2011 (8 sets of cargo manifest to be kept onboard for authorities
inspection)
The Pre-Importation Inspection,
Testing, and Certification of Goods going into Iraq is embodied in accordance
with the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control (COSQC)
law No. 54 of 1979 (article 3/Clause 8). COSQC has put in place a Pre-Import
Inspection, Testing and Certification Scheme. The scheme requires all imported
products whose standard specifications were declared compulsory under the
provisions of COSQC to be inspected for conformity to the relevant Iraqi Standard
by COSQC before release onto the Iraqi market by the following approved
companies. 1.Cotecna , 2. TUV Rhineland. and 3. Bureau Veritas are authorised
to test the imported goods into Iraq, Therefore, COSQC calls all the traders
and importers to commitment of obtaining conformity certificates for the
imported goods into Iraq
