Operational Coverage

Our excellent road haulage capabilities allow us to offer a high quality collection and delivery service to all towns and cities across the country. We have a fleet of 60 Southampton-based vehicles which are on exclusive long-term charter to OOCL, 5 in Birmingham, 10 in Manchester and 10 in Daventry. These are supplemented with another 35 trucks nationally, giving us approximately 95 vehicles at our disposal. Particular management attention is paid to ensuring timely arrival to meet customer needs, and pro-active communication is facilitated by the latest in satellite navigation and tracking technology. We are able to offer electronic PODs and satellite vehicle tracking via the web. Click on the icon below to download in PDF format further details on our haulage capabilities.

We also have our own train, the OOCL Express, a daily service in each direction between Southampton and the two railhead hubs of Manchester and Leeds. This covers the M62 corridor. As well as taking cargo off the road for the benefit of the environment, the service guarantees daily freight capacity which can otherwise be difficult to find. We also serve Daventry in the Midlands by rail.

Another strength of OOCL in the UK is our SIX feeder between Belfast, Greenock and Southampton, which facilitates fast connections with deep sea trunk vessels.
