Export Demurrage

We would like to refer to our notice of January 19th relating to the situation at the port of Southampton. While we have been able to continue to operate, albeit in a challenging environment, as most of you are now aware the terminal operators have imposed a number of restrictions and no longer accepts delivery of export laden containers on to the terminal in excess of 7 days prior to vessel arrival day.

We would therefore appreciate your assistance and kindly ask you to plan your export collections to arrive within the 7 day time frame to avoid extra costs. Consequently we have no alternative other than to amend our demurrage rules and charges prior to loading to ensure cost recovery.

Effective April 1st 2007 our Export Demurrage (Quay rent only) free time prior to loading will be reduced from 11 to 7 calendar days. Simultaneously charges will be increased to;
